Three cases of food poisoning were reported at the General De La Rey Hospital in Lichtenburg where male patients aged six, nine and twelve years were treated on Monday, 18 November 2024 after presenting with diarrhoea and vomiting.
The 12 year old was subsequently admitted at the Upcoming Itsoseng District Hospital while the 6 and 9 year old were discharged.
According to a report provided to our health officials, the children fell sick after eating cookies bought from a tuck shop in Boikutso Location, near Lichtenburg.
