HEALTH MINISTER DR ZWELI MKHIZE VISIT THE PROVINCE TO WELCOME NEW DOCTORS IN KLERKSDORP

The National Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize will on Wednesday, 22 January welcome a new cohort of medical interns and community service doctors who have recently begun their public service in various facilities throughout North West Province. In addition the Minister will also engage doctors from the Cuban Alumni Association of South Africa which has the largest concentration of membership in the North West.

Department Distances Itself From Fake Fumigation Tender Advert

The North West Department of Health hereby distances itself from an advertised tender for fumigation supposedly for a certain health facility in the Province.  The said tender advert has been circulated on social media. It contains serious spelling and grammatical errors and social media users have been left to believe the officials of the Department are incompetent.

MEC SAMBATHA INSTITUTES INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGATIONS OF NEPOTISM AT KLERKSDORP-TSHEPONG HOSPITAL COMPLEX

The North West Health MEC Madoda Sambatha will appoint an independent investigation into allegations of nepotism at the Klerksdorp-Tshepong Hospital Complex. This follows a list of people supposedly appointed through nepotism that is making rounds in social media platforms. The allegations of nepotism and the list brought uncertainty and some members  of community have threatened protest action. It is on this basis that MEC Sambatha deemed it fit to intervene.

Young people from the North West province gathered at Maboloka Tribal Hall near Brits to talk about health issues affecting them. Top on the agenda was gender based violence, teenage pregnancy and drugs, and alcohol abuse.
